Is san bruno safe place to live?

It's a bit sketchy, but I used to go out at night and I never got robbed or hared. I lived there for 3 years so it can't be that bad. The only redeeming value of living there is that it's cheap(er) and there's a lot of asian stores and markets around. It's foggy and cold there if you live up on the hill like I did (Westborough) about 3 months out of the year. It's fairly close to ocean if you like that, but I never went to the ocean because it was too cold and windy. Lots of Indian restaurants and stores on San Mateo Ave and of course the Buddhist temple at 636 San Mateo Ave, the Purple Lotus Society.
