Is gold a good wedding color theme to use at a Military wedding?

I love gold with the USMC dress blues. But if you haven't gotten your dress I'd look at that first. I've seen really pretty weddings done with the red accent ribbon at the waste or color in the dress somewhere. Matches nice with the dress blues. But red might not be your color. I never wear a red dress to the cause I look horrible in red and my husband hates it on me. Gold looks better sometimes.
